Scouts
All the troops of St. Charles meet together three times a year. At these special meetings girls can "bridge up" or "cross over". There is also a Sweetheart Banquet held in February for the girls and a significant adult in their life.
St. Charles also offers a scouting program for boys. Beginning in first grade with Tiger Cubs, young boys may learn about life through scouting. Second grade boys earn the rank of BobCat and Wolf Cub. As third grade student boys may earn the rank Bear Cub. They learn more about cub scouts. As a fourth grade student boys welcome First Year Weebelos. More camping and outdoor actives are encouraged. At the end of Fifth grade, Second year Weebelos are prepared for Boy Scouts. At the end of the year they attend a special ceremony called "The Crossover". At the ceremony they receive a special arrow from the Order of the Arrow.
As a pack, all cub scouts meet together once a month. At these meeting, boys can see the work of other dens and receive special recognition. A pine wood derby is held once a year, and well as the Blue and Gold Banquet.
